After blazing a trail in music, Megan Thee Stallion is taking on the streaming world.

The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper has inked an exclusive first-look deal with Netflix to create and executive produce new series and other projects, the streamer announced Thursday.

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,” Megan said in a statement. “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

Added Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s head of comedy: “Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture. She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix.”

Over the course of her career, Megan has won three Grammy Awards, including best new artist and nine BET Awards. Last weekend, the Houston native graduated from Texas Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in health administration.

After finding mixtape success, Megan released her debut studio album “Good News” in November 2020. The Gold-certified album spawned two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits with the “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé, and “WAP” with Cardi B.

Despite her massive success, Megan has faced criticism for overly-sexualized music, particularly “WAP” which is an acronym for “Wet A– Pu–y.” Conservative politicians and rapper Snoop Dogg, who is no stranger to controversy himself, called Megan out for the song’s raunchy message.

“Oh my God. Slow down. Like, slow down. And let’s have some imagination,” Snoop told entertainment news show Central Ave about the song. “Let’s have some, you know, privacy, some intimacy where he wants to find out as opposed to you telling him.”
