Anderson currently co-stars on Black-ish and is a producer on the ABC comedy, which is coming to an end in 2022 after its eighth and final season.

Hannibal actor Hugh Dancy is also joining the revival series, taking on the role of an assistant district attorney.

Previously, Variety reported Burn Notice’s Jeffrey Donovan would be joining the cast as well. Other cast members will be announced later.

The revival is being produced by Wolf Entertainment, the production company founded by Law & Order creator and executive producer Dick Wolf. Rick Eid will serve as showrunner.

Wolf Entertainment is also the production company behind NBC’s Chicago franchise and CBS’ FBI shows.

The 21st season of Law & Order is slated to premiere Feb. 24, 2022 on NBC.
