Issa Rae and the rest of the Insecure cast are returning Oct. 24, for one more season on HBO and HBO Max.

The series will explore what comes next in the lives and relationships of the characters during the show’s fifth and final season.

In the teaser trailer, which HBO dropped Thursday, Issa (played by creator Issa Rae) is looking at her reflection and says, “Oh Issa, you were so simple then.” She starts to talk about how she wants to be “drama free and happy,” and says she’s concerned about what’s next.

Returning series regulars include Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales and Courtney Taylor.

The acclaimed comedy-drama debuted in 2016 and was created by Rae and Larry Wilmore.

Insecure was inspired by Rae’s acclaimed web series “Awkward Black Girl.” Last year the show was nominated for three Primetime Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Rae’s performance as Issa, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Orji’s performance as Molly.

The series is executive produced by Rae, Prentice Penny, Melina Matsoukas, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky, Jonathan Berry, Amy Aniobi and Jim Kleverweis.

Season 5 of Insecure premieres on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The final ten episodes will debut weekly on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max.
