The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris for alleged sexual assault, Urban Hollywood 411 can confirm.

A spokesman with the LAPD Media Relations Division said Monday night the department has an “active investigation” in the case, but would not elaborate due to confidentiality reasons.

One alleged victim spoke to LAPD detectives in April regarding an alleged assault that happened in 2005, according to the Daily Beast. A second woman filed a report detailing similar allegations with police in Las Vegas. The women claim the rapper and his wife drugged and assaulted them.

“The Harrises have not spoken to or been contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) or, indeed, any member of law enforcement from any other jurisdiction in the country,” Steve Sadow, an attorney for T.I. and Tiny, said in a statement to People.

T.I. and Tiny have been accused of sexual abuse by women in Georgia and California by an attorney who says he represents 11 alleged victims.

As previously reported, attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn told reporters during a video conference in March that the 11 women are accusing the celebrity couple of “methodical, sadistic abuse.” Among the allegations are sexual abuse, kidnapping, false imprisonment, intimidation, assault, harassment and forced ingestion of narcotics.

T.I. and Tiny’s attorney Steve Sadow said at the time “Clifford (T.I.) and Tameka Harris deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations.”

One of the most vocal accusers has been entrepreneur Sabrina Peterson, who claimed on Instagram in January that the “Whatever You Like” rapper once “put a gun to my head in front of children.” She also tried to round up women through her Instagram stories with additional claims of alleged abuse.

Due to the growing list of allegations against the couple, production on their VH1 reality show T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle halted production in February.
