Tank shared the devastating news on Instagram Wednesday that he is completely losing hearing in his right ear and can only partially hear in his left ear.

The R&B singer and actor spoke candidly about his health in a video post, and said he wants his followers to use the experience to encourage others to keep going no matter the situation.

“So, I’m going through something right now and I wanna use my situation to encourage your situation,” he said at the beginning of the video. “I’m going completely deaf in my right ear and I’m kind of losing sound in my left. I’m dizzy, can’t walk a straight line. All of this out of nowhere. Don’t know how or why. Seen the doctors and got MRIs and all that good stuff going on.”

“It still hasn’t given me a reason to give up,” the “When We” artist continued. “It still hasn’t given me a reason to stop feeling like I can do and be everything that I’ve set out to be. The goals are still the same — to be great, to be the greatest. And I wanna say that to you, too. No matter what you’re going through, no matter where you find yourself, whether your body’s failing you, whether your mind is failing you, whether your spirit is failing you, keep going. Keep pushing.”

“I’m going to document my process just to show you the fight, just to show you that you’re still in it — we’re still in it,” the actor, whose birth name is Durrell Artaze Babbs, said at the end of the video. “So, much love to you and let’s keep fighting.”

Fellow celebrities and fans wrote words of encouragement to the 45-year-old singer.

His wife, model and actress Zena Foster, wrote in the comments: “I love you babe and don’t worry I can talk louder?”

Former NFL player Bryant McKinnie commented: “Keep fighting & Keep the Faith.”

While Tank continues his health journey, he can be seen alongside his wife in the upcoming fifth season of OWN’s Black Love series, which premieres this Friday.

As previously reported, Talk also co-starred with Keri Hilson in last month’s Lifetime movie Lust: A Seven Deadly Sins Story.
