Keke Palmer Set to Star in Jordan Peele’s Mysterious New Movie

Keke Palmer is teaming up with Jordan Peele to star in the filmmaker’s new mystery project.

Peele will produce, direct and write the script, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ian Cooper of Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will be co-producing.

Details about the movie are being kept under wraps. But the untitled film will likely be in the horror genre, like Peele’s previous blockbusters Get Out in 2017, and the 2019 film Us.

Overseeing the new project on behalf of Universal Pictures will be senior VP of production, Sara Scott, and creative executive Tony Ducret. The movie is expected to be released on July 22, 2022.

Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya is in talks with Peele to join the cast of the film.

Kaluuya recently received Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for his role as Black Panther Party leader Fred Hampton in Judas and the Black Messiah.

Palmer and Peele previously worked together on the Key & Peele creator’s Comedy Central show in a 2013 episode titled “Obama Shutdown.”

Her previous work includes the hit 2019 film Hustlers. She is currently doing voice work as “Maya” in Disney+’s The Proud Family revival. The former Strahan, Sara and Keke star has also been hosting television shows.
