Jeremih Hospitalized ‘On a Ventilator’ After Contracting COVID-19

Prayers are pouring in for R&B singer Jeremih, who is said to be hospitalized in an intensive care unit from complications of COVID-19.

On Saturday, rapper and producer Hitmaka posted a picture of Jeremih on Instagram and included the caption, “I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih this message is posted with his mother’s blessings.”

Hip-hop mogul 50 Cent added on Instagram, “Pray for my boy @jeremih he’s not doing good this covid sh-t is real. He’s in ICU in Chicago.”

Chance the Rapper, who like Jeremih is from Chicago, urged his followers to keep the singer-songwriter in their prayers, writing on Twitter: “Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.”

TMZ confirmed with sources that the 33-year-old singer is fighting for his life.

“Jeremih is currently on a breathing ventilator within the ICU he’s being treated at, and we’re told his condition has recently gotten worse,” the website reported. It’s unclear how long he has been hospitalized.

The Grammy-nominated singer, real name Jeremy Phillip Felton, is known for the hit singles “Planez” and “Don’t Tell ‘Em” with YG.
