Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has shared the news that he has advanced stage lung cancer.

Limbaugh made the announcement Monday on his nationally syndicated radio show.

“So, I have to tell you something today that I wish I didn’t have to tell you. It’s a struggle for me, because I had to inform my staff earlier today,” he said. “I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down with. The upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.”

His producer Bo Snerdley also made an announcement about the diagnosis on Twitter, writing: “Those of you who are listening to the Rush Limbaugh show now. “Pray with us. Thank you. God Bless you Rush Limbaugh. Love you so much Rush.”

Limbaugh, 69, has hosted his controversial radio program since the 1980s. Over the years, he’s shared countless conspiracy theories and his disdain for Democrats, including former President Barack Obama.

The outspoken conservative frequently floated the idea that Obama wasn’t a natural-born U.S. citizen – which would have disqualified him from serving as president. In 2010, Limbaugh said he hadn’t “seen any proof” that Obama was born in Hawaii.

A loyal Trump supporter, Limbaugh also claimed Hillary Clinton colluded with Russia and should be jailed.

“Hillary Clinton is who tried to rig a presidential election… Hillary Clinton and her pals in the Obama Department of Justice and the FBI, they are the ones who colluded with the Russians. They colluded to produce this entirely bogus Steele Dossier,” Limbaugh said on Fox News.

“Talk about irony. For Hillary Clinton to be talking about impeaching Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton needs to be investigated, she needs to be indicted and she needs to be in jail [with] many of her co-conspirators in this whole sordid affair,” he added.
