George Lopez has responded after setting some people off on social media.

The comedian began trending on Twitter Sunday night after commenting on the $80 million bounty placed on President Donald Trump’s head by someone speaking at the televised funeral for assassinated Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

The @chicanoworldstar Instagram account posted a graphic that said: “Iran ‘offers $80 million bounty for Donald Trump’s head’ after death of general.”

The account captioned the post: “#Iranian authorities have put a bounty on American President Donald Trump’s head during the televised funeral of General #QasemSoleimani after he was assassinated last week. What are your thoughts?”

Lopez jumped in the comments section and responded, “We’ll Do It For Half.”

While some people found the actor and comedian’s comment funny, many Trump supporters took offense, calling Lopez “crazy” and a “terrorist” on Twitter.

Ryan Fournier, co-chairman of Students For Trump, reposted Lopez’s comment and urged the Secret Service to “take a look at this.”

On Monday, Lopez’s reps released a statement saying his comment was “a joke.”
