As E! prepares for a top to bottom revamp, the cable network announced Thursday that hosts Lilliana Vazquez and Scott Tweedie will be the faces of E! News and Pop of The Morning.
Vazquez and Tweedie will co-host a revamped version of E! News from New York at 7 a.m. They’ll return to the air for the 11 a.m. hour on a new show called Pop of the Morning, and continue the pop culture conversation.
Vazquez has been a contributor on NBC’s Today show and a correspondent for Access Hollywood. Tweedie is a TV presenter in Australia, and has hosted Dancing With the Stars Australia, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and other shows.
“After spending 19 years in morning television, I know the importance of waking up with hosts you truly connect with and want to share your morning with. We’re excited to introduce you to that team,” E! News Executive Vice President & Editor-In-Chief Tammy Filler said in a statement. “They are the perfect pair to join the news team as we continue to build our presence in New York.”
As previously reported, E! News is leaving Los Angeles after 28 years. The network’s flagship program, which debuted in 1991, aired its final broadcast from L.A. on Friday, Nov. 15. The move to New York led to layoffs, show cancellations and on-air staffing changes.
E! News was hosted by Jason Kennedy and Giuliana Rancic. Kennedy has been tapped to host a new series called In the Room, taking viewers inside celebrity homes for in-depth interviews. Rancic will continue with the network on a part-time basis to host Live from the Red Carpet.
Vazquez and Tweedie will make their E! debut on Jan. 6, 2020.
