Tyler Perry Set to Make Netflix Debut With ‘A Fall From Grace’

Tyler Perry is teaming up with Netflix.

The director-producer will release A Fall From Grace, his first feature film for the streaming service on Jan. 17, 2020.

Perry shared the news on Instagram, writing: “My next movie guys!!! This is an amazing thriller!!!”

The film stars Crystal Fox, Phylicia Rashad, Bresha Webb, Cicely Tyson, and Perry himself.

On Friday, Netflix’s Strong Black Lead account tweetedA Fall From Grace will be “centered around a divorced woman who feels restored by a new romance,” until secrets begin to erode her short-lived happiness.

Perry hosted a gala opening in Atlanta last month for Tyler Perry Studios — the nation’s largest studio lot — which hosted last week’s Democratic presidential primary debate.

He is also juggling a number of high-profile projects. His two shows Sistas and White House drama The Oval recently premiered on BET and the network’s BET+ streaming service.

Perry issued a statement earlier this month thanking fans for making The Oval the #1 new drama on cable.
