Ray J is calling “BS” on reports claiming he’s been lobbying President Trump to pardon Suge Knight.

The initial article, published Nov. 6 by the Daily Mail, claimed Ray J was in “secret talks” with the Trump aministration to secure Knight’s release. The report quoted a source who said Ray J is “very competitive,” and wants to one up former girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who successfully lobbied Trump to commute Alice Marie Johnson’s drug conviction in 2018.

Ray J posted a video on Instagram Thursday night, saying the story about him is fake news.

Daily Mail please stop reporting false stories about me! This is the second time y’all trying to pull a stunt like this! The story you put up is false and corny! I’ve been working very hard building my companies and staying out of BS! If you wanna post a story about me, please make sure it’s true,” he captioned the post.

“I will not let you sabotage me and ruin my name! I’m working hard for my family!!! The Devil won’t win!!!” the reality star, singer, and actor added.

The Daily Mail story, which was picked up by several websites, went viral prompting Ray J’s publicist to alert the media that the reports were false.

The article followed Knight’s confirmation last month during a jailhouse interview with The Blast that he’d given Ray J permission to handle everything concerning Death Row Records and music tied to the label. Knight’s fiancée, Toi-Lin Kelly, is in charge of his movie, TV or book deals.

The reports this week of a possible Knight pardon raised eyebrows from the start, considering a president pardons federal inmates, and Knight was convicted of a state crime in California.

He struck a plea deal with Los Angeles County prosecutors in Sept. 2018, for killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle “Bone” Sloan with his pickup truck in 2015, near the set of the film Straight Outta Compton.

The Compton native, 54, pleaded “no contest” to voluntary manslaughter just days before jury selection was set to begin in his murder trial.

Knight was sentenced to 28 years in state prison in October 2018.
