BET has released the trailers for The Oval and Sistas, two series from Tyler Perry that will be featured on the network’s new BET+ streaming service.
The Oval follows newly-elected U.S. President Hunter Franklin and his family as they move into the White House. The cast includes Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd, Javon Johnson, Ptosha Storey, and Daniel Croix Henderson.
Perry is writing, directing and executive producing the drama.
“I’ve set out to create a show that tells the story of a family placed in the White House by people of power while also highlighting the personal side and everyday lives of the staff who run the inner workings of the nation’s most iconic residence,” Perry recently said in a statement on his website.

One-hour comedy Sistas is set around a group of single black women as they navigate the highs and lows of dating while balancing careers and family.
The cast includes KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von, Novi Brown, Chido Nwokocha, DeVale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Kevin Walton, and Anthony Dalton.
Perry writes, directs, and executive produces the series. Michelle Sneed from Tyler Perry Studios also serves as an executive producer.
BET+, a subscription-based video on demand service went live on Thursday, Sept. 19. The platform is a joint venture between Viacom-owned BET and Perry, and is priced at $9.99 a month.
The Oval premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed the debut of Sistas at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
