After weeks of speculation, ABC confirmed Monday that Keke Palmer is officially joining the third hour of Good Morning America as co-host.

The program, currently called Strahan & Sara, will be rebranded as GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke, according to The Wrap.

Palmer was brought on as a fill-in host over the summer while Sara Haines was on maternity leave.

“It’s been a blast having Keke co-host this summer. She brings a unique and spontaneous energy viewers love,” said executive producer Rory Albanese in a statement. “She’s a multitalented artist, and I’m thrilled to have her join Michael and Sara every day. The three of them are a terrific team, it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

ABC also shared the news with viewers on Twitter.

Palmer is a singer and actress. She’ll next be seen in the stripper drama Hustlers, co-starring Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Lizzo, Julia Stiles, Lili Reinhart, and Mercedes Ruehl.

Her addition to GMA‘s third hour is the latest in a string of changes to the show since it launched as a replacement for The Chew.

The program — originally hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines — was first called GMA Day when it began airing in September 2018. Amid lackluster ratings, ABC introduced a new set and re-titled the show Strahan & Sara in January 2019.
