The highly-anticipated sequel to Black Panther will land in theaters on May 6, 2022.
Ryan Coogler, who returns to write and direct the follow-up, made the announcement Saturday at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif.
After being introduced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Coogler took center stage.
“We’re really trying to get it right,” the director said.
The film currently has a working title of Black Panther II, but Coogler remained mum about plot details.
