Jessica Pearson is back and learning to navigate the down-and-dirty world of Chicago politics.
Gina Torres, who played the impeccably dressed leader of New York law firm Pearson Specter Litt in the legal drama Suits, stars in the series.
After she was disbarred, Jessica landed a job as fixer for Chicago Mayor Bobby Novak. But to get things done in the Windy City, she may have to get her hands dirty.
In a preview for the Suits spinoff, Jessica is shown walking into a dark alley for a late-night meeting. When the man she plans to speak with fails to show up, Jessica places a call to find out what happened. The woman on the other end of the line tells her “he’s not with me.” As the two talk, a van slowly approaches and a nervous Jessica tells the woman to “stay on the line” before the scene ends.

In addition to Torres, the cast includes Morgan Spector, Bethany Joy Lenz, Simon Kassianides, Eli Goree, Isabel Arraiza and Chantel Riley.
The drama is executive produced by Suits creator Aaron Korsh, along with Torres and showrunner Daniel Arkin.
Pearson premieres Wednesday July 17 at 10/9 on USA Network.
