It’s official. Sean “Diddy” Combs and MTV are bringing back Making the Band.

Combs and MTV made the announcement Monday, after teasing last week on social media that the music competition series might be returning.

“I’ve made my decision… Making The Band is coming back!!!” Diddy captioned a video posted to Twitter on July 15.

This time the show will feature international talent.

“We’re doing a global talent search,” he said in the video. “That means if you’re from India, Zimbabwe, Russia, China, Korea… It’s not just about America.”

Making the Band premiered in 2000 and ran until 2009.

Diddy (then known as Puff Daddy) took over the franchise for Making the Band 2 in 2002, after boy band O-Town was created. The revamped version of the show launched the careers of Da Band, Danity Kane, and Day26, after the group members were handpicked by Bad Boy CEO and his team.

The reboot of Making the Band is set to premiere on MTV in 2020.
