Swedish police arrested A$AP Rocky Tuesday night after video surfaced online showing the rapper grabbing a man and tossing him to the ground.
The hip-hop star and three other people were taken into custody for suspected “gross assault,” a Swedish prosecutor told CBS News.
The confrontation happened on a Stockholm street. Once video of the incident went viral, A$AP Rocky posted his own clips of the brawl on Instagram, saying he was attacked by “drug addicts.”
“So a few drug addicts are not my fans. We don’t know these guys and we didn’t want trouble, they followed us for 4 blocks, and they were slapping girls butts who passed, give me a break,” he captioned his post.

Two men can be seen in the video following the rapper and his security detail. Both A$AP Rocky and a bodyguard repeatedly tell the men to go away because they don’t want to fight them. At one point, one of the men hits the bodyguard with a pair of headphones.
In a second video A$AP Rocky wrote: “Hits security in face with headphones then follow us. He later added comments to the post saying, “I’m innocent… They trynna arrest me out here now, SMH.”

The New York rapper, producer and model was in Stockholm to perform at the Smash hip hop festival.
A prosecutor said the investigation surrounding the fight is in “an initial stage.”
