‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Star Beth Chapman Dies at 51

Dog the Bounty Hunter star Beth Chapman died Wednesday after battling throat cancer. She was 51 years old.

The reality TV personality’s husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, confirmed her passing on Twitter.

“It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side,” he tweeted.

On Sunday, the family said Beth had been placed in a medically induced coma at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.

“Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you,” Duane tweeted along with a link to a local news article.

Beth announced in 2017 that she was diagnosed with throat cancer. She shared her cancer battle with fans in a two-hour A&E special titled Dog & Beth: Fight of Their Lives.

Following a 13-hour surgery, doctors said she was cancer-free. But she learned the cancer had returned in November 2018.

Dog and Beth rose to fame on their A&E series Dog the Bounty Hunter, which followed Duane “Dog” Chapman’s experiences as a bounty hunter. The series ran from for eight seasons until 2012. The couple then briefly appeared on CMT’s Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.
