Nick Cannon has landed a high-profile gig at one of Los Angeles’ top-rated radio stations.

The multi-hyphenate is joining Power 106 (KPWR) as the hip hop station’s main morning drive host and producer.

“Power 106 is one of the most substantial fixtures in our Hip Hop culture that has proven time and time again that they are #1 and not going anywhere!” Cannon said in a statement Friday. “Los Angeles is used to star players joining star franchises! I’m just honored for the opportunity to make our community and Culture proud. All I can say is it’s Ncredible!”

The new show titled Nick Cannon Mornings launches Monday, June 17, and will air daily from 6-10 a.m.

“Nick Cannon is that fresh sound we were looking for on Power 106,” said E-Man, the station’s program director. “Nick is an incredible entertainer who embodies hip hop, pop culture, comedy, and community all in one! We are very excited to have him on our team.”

This isn’t Cannon’s first foray into radio. He previously hosted a morning show on CBS Radio’s 92.3 Now WNOW-FM New York from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to his new job at Power 106, Cannon hosts the MTV series Wild ’N Out and FOX’s singing competition The Masked Singer. He also recently signed a development deal with Fox and may launch a late-night talk show.
