This isn’t Cannon’s first foray into radio. He previously hosted a morning show on CBS Radio’s 92.3 Now WNOW-FM New York from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to his new job at Power 106, Cannon hosts the MTV series Wild ’N Out and FOX’s singing competition The Masked Singer. He also recently signed a development deal with Fox and may launch a late-night talk show.

The actor-comedian-host’s morning show replaces The Cruz Show, after host J Cruz left Power 106  for rival, Real 92.3 (KRRL) in April to front an afternoon-drive show.

Cruz replaced longtime morning radio host Big Boy, who left Power 106 in 2015, and jumped to Real 92.3.

Big Boy and Cruz now work together.
