‘RHOA’ Star Apollo Nida Released From Prison Early After 5 Years

After serving almost five years in prison for fraud, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida is no longer an inmate.

Nida was released from the Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey, where he was then transferred to a halfway house in Philadelphia, E! News reported Tuesday.

The ex-reality star was first sentenced to eight years in July 2014, after pleading guilty to bank fraud and identity theft. Nida began serving his sentence that September.

In March, a federal judge reduced his sentence from 96 months to 84 months “with credit to be given by the Bureau of Prisons for all time served,” shaving time off of his intended August 2020 release, per court docs.

Once he leaves the halfway house in mid-October,  he’ll be on probation for several years.

Apollo Nida, who was married to RHOA alum Phaedra Parks for eight years, last appeared on the Bravo series in season 7. The couple has two young sons together, Ayden and Dylan.
