President Trump has been caught in yet another whopper.

On Sunday, POTUS took to Twitter to blast reports that he called the Duchess of Sussex “nasty.”

“I never called Meghan Markle ‘nasty,’ ” Trump tweeted. “Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold! Will @CNN, @nytimes and others apologize? Doubt it!”

Trump is scheduled to visit the U.K. this week.

Despite denying his comment about Markle, there’s an audio recording of his remarks. During a Friday interview with Britain’s The Sun tabloid, he was asked his thoughts on the former Suits actress, who “wasn’t so nice” to him during the 2016 presidential race.

His response went viral after it was shared by The Sun and a Trump campaign Twitter account.

Here’s how the exchange went:

Reporter: [Markle] can’t make it because she has maternity leave. Are you sorry not to see her, because she wasn’t so nice about you during the campaign. I don’t know if you saw that?

Trump: I didn’t know that, no. I didn’t know that. No, I hope she’s OK. I did not know that, no.

Reporter: She said she’d move to Canada if you got elected. It turned out she moved to Britain.

Trump: There are a lot of people moving here [U.S.] So, what can I say? No, I didn’t know that she was nasty.

Still, he did have some nice things to say about Markle.

“I’m sure she’ll do excellently,” Trump said about the California native becoming a royal. “She’ll be very good. I hope she does.”

Nasty-gate unfolded just days before Trump travels to the U.K.

Markle isn’t scheduled to attend Trump’s visit with the royal family, or the state dinner on June 3. The new mom is on maternity leave, caring for her nearly month-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Below is an interview the then-actress did with comedian Larry Wilmore about the 2016 presidential election.
