DJ Khaled paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle during a performance this weekend on Saturday Night Live.
Khaled served as musical guest on the season 44 finale of the NBC sketch comedy series, and brought out some of his famous friends for two separate medleys of tracks from his new album Father of Asahd.
Wearing a black hoodie with a portrait of Hussle’s face on it, the producer and songwriter ended his second performance of the night by bringing out John Legend.
The two performed the single “Higher” in honor of the slain rapper.

Also wearing a black hoodie, Legend belted out the hook: “You keep taking me higher and higher/ But don’t you know that the devil is a liar.”
“Higher” features lyrics from Hussle and was recorded shortly before the Los Angeles rapper was killed on March 31.
Near the end of the performance, an image of Hussle appeared on a wall. Other artists who performed with Khaled during his SNL sets, including SZA, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Big Sean, J Balvin, Lil Baby and Jeremih then walked on stage.
A brief rhyme from Hussle played before Khaled offered a few words of remembrance.
“Long live Nipsey Hussle,” he said. “The marathon continues.”
