Fox News has signed former interim Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile as a political contributor, the network announced Monday.

“Brazile, a veteran Democratic strategist, will offer political analysis across both FNC and Fox Business Network’s daytime and primetime programming,” Fox said in a statement.

She will make her Fox debut this afternoon on The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino at 2 PM ET. Perino is a former White House press secretary who served under President George W. Bush.

Brazile — a frequent Fox News target — said she knows she’ll face criticism for joining the network.

“I know I’m going to get criticized from my friends in the progressive movement for being on Fox News,” she said. “My response is that, if we’ve learned anything from the 2016 election, it is that we can’t have a country where we don’t talk to those who disagree with our political views.”

The Democratic strategist added that Fox viewers need to hear from more Democrats and she’s happy to fill that role.

“There’s an audience on Fox News that doesn’t hear enough from Democrats,” she said. “We have to engage that audience and show Americans of every stripe what we stand for rather than retreat into our ‘safe spaces’ where we simply agree with each other.”

In an opinion piece published Monday on Foxnews.com, Brazile insisted she would be taking part in honest debate at the right-leaning network.

“I am so excited to join the honest and passionate debate at Fox News about our future. I invite you to join me,” she told readers.

Brazile previously served as a contributor at CNN and ABC News, but the relationships ended in 2016 when she was named interim chair of the DNC.

Months later, CNN cut all ties to Brazile after it was revealed in emails hacked by Wikileaks that she shared questions in advance of a CNN Democratic town hall with the Hillary Clinton campaign.

“We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor,” CNN said at the time.
