Wendy Williams returned to her daytime talk show Monday after two months away.

The Wendy host fought back tears as she received a standing ovation from the studio audience.

“Thank you, I missed you, too. Look, honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I hit the block today. I didn’t know whether you would wait for me, whether you would understand. I had no idea what to expect. Thank you so much for waiting for us,” she said.

Appearing in good spirits, and sporting a plunging black dress and short bob hairstyle, Williams addressed her health and the Graves’ disease diagnosis she said kept her away.

“What had happened was, we were supposed to only be off for two weeks for Christmas vacation and toward the end of the weeks, I started to feel thyroid-ish,” she said.

She then told the audience she’s now doing much better.

“I can’t even tell you how many doctors I have, but I want to shout out to each and every one of you,” she said. “Thank you so much. They push me in there, I get the MRIs and then I get the CAT scans and then they get me running on the treadmill and they’re doing my blood pressure at the same time as my phone is calling with people on the show.”

“I’m happy to tell you that I am doing swell,” she added, as the audience applauded.

Later in the show, Williams dismissed the cheating and domestic abuse rumors surrounding her husband, Kevin Hunter.

“I want to shout out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring,” she said. “He’s my best friend, he’s my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been seeing and I know what the streets have been talking about.”

Williams hasn’t hosted an episode of Wendy since December. Over the past two months, the 54-year-old television personality had to deal with a fractured shoulder, Graves’ disease and postponed her return date two separate times.

“I’m sorry it took me almost 40 or 50 days, I know it’s been a long time. I’m sorry. But I have to say, it’s not gonna happen anymore and I feel good,” she said.

In her absence, guest hosts included Jerry O’Connell, Sherri Shepherd and Nick Cannon.
