Janet Jackson Announces ‘Metamorphosis’ Las Vegas Residency

Janet Jackson is set to take Las Vegas by storm.

The five-time Grammy winner took to Twitter Tuesday to announce her first Las Vegas residency, which will pay homage to the 30th anniversary of Rhythm Nation.

“Hey u guys, I’m so excited to announce my new Vegas residency, ‘Metamorphosis!’ A celebration of my journey and the 30th anniversary of #RhythmNation!” she penned.

Additionally, the residency will cover Jackson’s “path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amidst the challenges she faced along her personal journey,” according to a press release.

The statement continues: “She encourages her audiences to find their own light within themselves through her Metamorphosis.”

Jackson’s residency will take place at Park Theater at Park MGM from May 17 to Aug. 10, 2019, and the singer will perform 15 shows in total throughout her 3-month stint.

Members of Jackson’s fan club will receive access to an exclusive pre-sale beginning Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10 am PT, while Citi cardmembers will get access at 12 pm PT that same day.

Tickets starting at $79 go on sale Saturday, March 2 at 10 am PT.

News of the 52-year-old’s residency comes on the heels of her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in December 2018. “We did it u guys. Thank U for all your love and support,” Jackson wrote on Twitter at the time.

The performer also released a new single in August 2018, called “Made for Now,” and she has partnered up with Cinq Music for her forthcoming album.
