Mike Colter to Lead Cast of CBS Supernatural Drama ‘Evil’

Mike Colter has landed a lead role in CBS drama pilot Evil, about the battle between science and religion.

The Luke Cage alum will play David DaCosta, a Catholic priest-in-training assigned by the church to assess supernatural cases, according to Deadline.

Colter joins the pilot’s other lead, Katja Herbers (Westworld), who will play a skeptical forensic psychologist working with the Church.

Evil comes from The Good Wife creators, Robert and Michelle King, who will executive produce and co-write the pilot for the potential series for CBS Television Studios.

Colter previously worked with the Kings when he played ruthless drug kingpin Lemond Bishop on The Good Wife.

The actor just recently ended a two season run as Marvel superhero Luke Cage in the Netflix series by the same name.
