Details regarding the sudden death of Rel co-creator Kevin Barnett are beginning to emerge.

Barnett — who passed away at age 32 while vacationing in Mexico earlier this week —  died of  “non-traumatic hemorrhage, caused by pancreatitis,” the Chief of the Forensic Medical Service revealed to E! News.

The statement provided on Thursday also confirmed that Barnett’s body was received at 5:50 AM PT from the Avenida Revolucion tourist area in Tijuana. “At the moment his body is still in facilities of the Forensic Medical Service of Tijuana, waiting to be delivered to his family members who are performing the legal proceedings, the report added.

The Carmichael Show writer’s older brother, “Korey Witha K,” gave an interview to People after the autopsy results became public.  Korey talked about his mother’s reaction to Barnett’s death, sharing: “She knew something bad might happen, but she never thought it would happen to one of us.”

“When I got the call, I thought maybe he got kidnapped or maybe something else,” the Florida native’s sibling said. “I didn’t expect this.”

“All proceeds will go to Kevin’s memorial fund,” the advertisement reads.
