Wendy Williams is opening up about a recent health setback.

The 54-year-old television personality revealed on The Wendy Williams Show Tuesday that she injured her right shoulder over the weekend.

“I have a hair fracture on my right shoulder,” she shared. “I did it on Sunday— by Monday morning my shoulder was on fire.”

Williams, who wore a sling during the show, explained how she made the executive decision to cancel Monday’s taping so she could receive medical care.

“There’s no way I could’ve done yesterday’s show, so I was all about the medical care yesterday from one doctor to the other,” she said.

The New Jersey native didn’t elaborate on how she injured herself, but she did confirm whether she’ll have an operation.

“I’m on the mend, I don’t need an operation,” she divulged. “They tell me I’m very healthy… for a person after 50. I’m not wearing a hard cast, but I do have a sling and I do have my flower ring on.”

Williams has struggled with her health in recent years. After fainting during an October 2017 taping, the former radio personality revealed that she’s battling Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism.

On doctor’s advice, Williams decided to put her show on hiatus for three weeks. The leave of absence started on Feb. 22 and ended on March 19.

“What I want to say to women, more than men, is stop putting everyone first because if we’re not good, they’re not good,” she advised viewers after the announcement.
