Springer’s latest television deal comes six months after production halted on his long-running daytime
talk show in June.

For those wondering how it’s possible to go from a salacious talk show to handling court cases, Springer earned a law degree from Northwestern University decades ago. He went on to become mayor of Cincinnati, and hosted his talk show for 27 years.

Judge Jerry is expected to premiere in the fall of 2019.
