Combs spoke at the funeral about his emotional bond with Porter, who was the mother of three of his children.

“She was my friend first. She was my confidante. She was like my guidance, still is,” he said, according to The Blast.

“We fell in love and honestly, her love was too much for me to handle. It was a lot to handle, to take in,” he added.

Bishop Noel Jones of Gardena, Calif., delivered the eulogy, while Faith Evans and Yolanda Adams gave musical tributes, according to local newspaper the Ledger-Enquirer.

Following the service, Porter was buried next to her mother in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Mourners watched fireworks at the cemetery in Porter’s honor.

The mother-of-four is survived by her father Jake D. Porter, Jr. and his wife Georgine Porter, her three children with Combs, 20-year-old son Christian Casey and twin 11-year-old daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, and son Quincy Brown, 27, from a previous relationship with Al B. Sure.
