Bill Cosby is going away, but his star is here for good.

After a Pennsylvania judge sentenced the comedian to three to 10 years in state prison for sexual assault on Tuesday, questions arose about the fate of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Despite comments by some social media users that it’s time for Cosby’s sidewalk star to go away, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce quickly shut down any talk of removing it.

Like President Donald Trump’s star, Cosby’s has been vandalized several times, including an incident where someone wrote the words “serial rapist” on it. Still, neither star will be removed.

In a statement posted on Twitter, the chamber said once a star is placed in the sidewalk, it’s there permanently.

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a historical record of entertainment figures past and present. Once installed, the stars become part of the historic fabric of the Walk of Fame, a ‘designated historic cultural landmark,’ and are intended to be permanent,” the chamber said.

The statement continued: “The stars only commemorate the recipient’s professional accomplishments. It is regrettable when the personal lives of inductees do not measure up to public standards and expectations; however, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce does not remove stars from the Walk of Fame.”

In April, a Pennsylvania jury found Cosby guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and molesting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand.

Five months after the verdict was handed down, The Cosby Show star was declared a “sexually violent predator,” sentenced and taken away in handcuffs to spend the next several years in prison.
