Former Today co-host Tamron Hall is developing a daytime talk show after signing a production deal with Disney-ABC.
Hall, who will host the syndicated show, shared the news Wednesday in a statement to Deadline.
“I’m so thrilled to partner with Disney ABC to create a daytime television show that’s unconventional, fun, intimate and sometimes even raw,” she said.
“My new partners appreciate and respect the relationship I’ve built with my audience and know that if we create television worth watching, they’ll join us for the ride,” Hall continued. “I’m so grateful and excited for this next chapter. The landing makes the leap of faith so worth it.”
“Tamron’s wealth of experience and unique perspective is needed in today’s daytime landscape,” added William Burton, senior vice president of ABC Daytime. “We look forward to developing a daily destination showcasing her spirit, boundless enthusiasm and powerful ability to engage with viewers.”
Hall previously anchored NewsNation with Tamron Hall on MSNBC. She also served as co-host of Today’s Take, the third hour of Today with Al Roker, but she left the network in 2017 when NBC replaced the program with Megyn Kelly Today.
Hall continues to host Investigation Discovery’s Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall.
Before embarking on a national television career, she worked at WFLD-TV in Chicago.
