As her husband Les Moonves faces sexual misconduct allegations leveled by six women in a New Yorker exposé, Julie Chen is vowing to stand by the embattled CBS CEO “today, tomorrow, forever.”

Chen briefly addressed the claims against Moonves on Monday’s episode of The Talk.

“Some of you may be aware of what’s been going on in my life the past few days,” she said about the allegations against Moonves. “I issued the one and only statement I will ever make on this topic on Twitter. And I will stand by this statement today, tomorrow, forever.”

The Talk and Big Brother star was referring to a statement she tweeted Friday, shortly after The New Yorker published an article by Ronan Farrow, claiming Moonves engaged in inappropriate behavior during business meetings, including forcible kissing and groping. The article also alleged that he retaliated against women who declined his advances.

“I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late ’90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 year,” Chen said in her statement. “Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement.”

Chen and Moonves have been married since 2004. They began dating when she was a reporter on CBS’ The Early Show.

Her  statement came after the longtime CBS executive released a statement of his own, that read: “Throughout my time at CBS, we have promoted a culture of respect and opportunity for all employees, and have consistently found success elevating women to top executive positions across our Company.”

The CBS board of directors met Monday, and the company said the board plans to hire outside counsel to conduct an independent investigation.

“CBS Corporation announced today that its Board of Directors is in the process of selecting outside counsel to conduct an independent investigation. No other action was taken on this matter at today’s board meeting,” the company said in a statement.

Moonves will remain in his position during the investigation.

The board postponed an annual meeting with stockholders that was scheduled for August 10.
