Whoopi Goldberg said she was horrified by President Donald Trump’s behavior Monday when he addressed reporters alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland.

During the stunning joint press conference, Trump blamed the U.S. for the country’s strained relations with Russia, which he said have “never been worse.”

When asked by a reporter if he believes Putin interfered in the 2016 election, something the U.S. intelligence community says did indeed happen, Trump responded by criticizing the FBI.

President Donald Trump & Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to reporters in Helsinki, Finland.

While addressing the president’s comments on Monday’s episode of The View, the panelists all said they didn’t like what they saw.

“Before their summit in Helsinki this morning, Putin and his boo sat down to talk to reporters about what they hoped to get out of this meeting,” Goldberg told viewers.

After playing a clip from the news conference, Goldberg said she’s concerned Trump’s behavior “endangers the country.”

“If this was anybody else, Homeland Security would be involved. All kinds of stuff” she said. “Where is Homeland Security? This man, to me, I feel endangers the country, America. I don’t like this.”

Fellow co-host Sara Haines described Trump’s comments as un-American.

“When you leave the country, it should be what you promised, which was America first,” Haines said. “I don’t like the tweet. He tweeted out ‘Our relationship with Russia has never been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity,’ which separates himself from that America. That jumped out at me, first and foremost as such an awful thing to tweet when on foreign soil.”

Right-leaning co-host Meghan McCain said everyone, including Republicans, “should be anxious” about Trump’s cozy relationship with Russia.

Guest co-host Ana Navarro, who is a contributor on Telemundo and CNN, agreed.

“The Republican party is sadly silent and thus complicit with what is going on,” Navarro stated.

The View panelists weren’t the only public figures lambasting Trump’s performance.

During his live post-press conference analysis, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper called it “perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president.”

House Speaker Paul Ryan also criticized Trump.

“There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world,” the Wisconsin Republican said in a statement issued by his office. “The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally.”

On Friday, the Justice Department announced indictments against 12 Russian intelligence officers as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
