Terry Crews has a powerful message for critics who questioned the way he handled his alleged assault.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star took to Twitter Friday to shut down victim blamers, by responding to their questions with answers.

“Why didn’t you say something? I did. Why didn’t you push him off? I did,” Crews tweeted. “Why didn’t you cuss him out? I did. Why didn’t you tell the police? I did. Why didn’t you press charges? I did. Why did you just let it happen? I didn’t. Why didn’t you beat him up? (Sigh).”

As the Harvey Weinstein scandal unfolded in October 2017, Crews shared his #MeToo story on social media and said he understands why more women don’t come forward.

The actor alleged that William Morris Endeavor agent, Adam Venit, groped him during an industry party that Crews was attending with his wife.

Venit received a one-month suspension but was not fired, according to published reports. Crews filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department, and a civil lawsuit against Venit in December.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office told PEOPLE magazine that it declined to file charges against Venit because the incident was “beyond the statute of limitations for misdemeanors.”

Earlier this week Crews testified at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that as a black man in America he did not push his attacker away because he could face dire consequences.

Immediately after the actor’s Capitol Hill visit, 50 Cent mocked Crews on Instagram. The rapper posted now-deleted images of former NFL player Crews, making fun of his assault claim.

One picture showed a shirtless Crews, and included the words, “I got raped” and “My wife just watched.” A second photo showed the actor with a rose between his teeth and the message “Gym time.”

A Care2 petition was started asking Starz to end its relationship with 50 Cent, who produces the cable network’s series Power.

On Friday morning, The Associated Press posted a video on Twitter of a reporter asking 50 Cent about his Instagram post.

Clearly annoyed, the rapper responded by saying it was a “joke.”

“When you put LOL behind any statement, it means you’re laughing out loud,” he said. “It means it’s a joke.”

He then complained that journalists have left the “LOL” out of their reporting.
