Beyoncé and Jay-Z know how to get the world’s attention.
Queen B and hubby Hova announced the release of a surprise album Saturday during their “On The Run II” tour in London.
The nine-track album, titled Everything Is Love, is the couple’s first full-length joint release, and is currently available exclusively on Jay-Z’s music streaming service Tidal.
And if a new album wasn’t enough, the Carters also released a music video for the track Apesh-t.
Directed by Ricky Saiz, the video was shot last month at The Louvre in Paris and features Quavo.
Fans knew something was up when Beyoncé posted a clip from the video on Instagram Saturday, along with a couple of images from the video.
The footage is on fire and the lyrics are hot too.
Beyoncé demands anyone who hires her “put some respeck on my check.”
It features dancers in nude bodysuits and shots of the couple standing in front of famous paintings.
There’s also a lot of American symbolism, including a scene of black men kneeling in formation as Jay-Z disses the NFL: “I said no to the Super Bowl. You need me, I don’t need you. Every night we in the endzone. Tell the NFL we in stadiums too.”
Toldja it was hot!
