“I’m super good friends with her stepmom and her dad, and they were mad at me,” Haddish said in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, referring to Lathan’s producer-director father, Stan Lathan.

“They were like, ‘Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it’s so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?’ But I didn’t try to ruin her career. I never said her name!” Haddish added.

The THR interview was about the Girls Trip star’s path to becoming Hollywood’s new comedy queen. But at the very end, the interviewer asked Haddish – who bit Beyoncé?

The comedian, 38, insisted she wasn’t trying to throw shade when she brought up the incident from the night she met Beyoncé at a JAY-Z concert afterparty.

“I was just trying to say how Beyoncé kept me from goin’ to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down,” she explained.

Sanaa Lathan’s name immediately surfaced as the alleged culprit after Haddish told the story to GQ in March, although she never mentioned the Love and Basketball star’s name.

Haddish said she was ready to defend Beyoncé, and wanted to find the perpetrator to “beat her a–.” But the singer stopped her.

Lathan, 46, denied it was her multiple times.

“Y’all are funny,” she tweeted in March. “Under no circumstances did I bite Beyonce and if I did it would’ve been a love bite.”

Lathan also denied the story in a May interview with Health magazine, calling the allegation “absurd.”

Even though Haddish revealed details about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s exclusive party, she said the celebrity invites haven’t stopped coming in.

“The other day, someone was saying, like, ‘Oh my God, you should keep your mouth shut ’cause now you’re never going to be invited to parties,’ but I got invited to way more parties after that,” she said. “It’s ridiculous how many parties. ‘Can you come to my party?’ ‘Can you come to my thing?'”
