Donda’s House, the Chicago charity Kanye West co-founded in honor of his late mother, has announced it is dropping all association with the rapper after a Twitter feud erupted between Kim Kardashian and the charity’s co-founder.

The back-and-force started Friday when Donda’s House posted a statement on its website and social media accounts, saying it was distancing itself from West because it was losing supporters following his recent tweets about President Donald Trump, and his inflammatory comment that slavery was a “choice.”

Things got worse when Chicago rapper and activist Che “Rhymefest” Smith, who co-founded Donda’s House, tweeted at Drake Friday night following the Canadian rapper’s release of his Kanye diss track.

Rhymefest asked Drake for assistance, saying Kanye had “abandoned” Chicago and the charity, which provides arts education to Chicago youth.

In a followup tweet, Rhymefest said: “I spoke to Kanye about it. His response was ‘f–k the youth of Chicago.'”

That didn’t sit well with Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, who unloaded on Rhymefest on Twitter, and said she would seek control of the charity.

“U haven’t been right since u got kicked out of the studio in Hawaii wearing fake Yeezy’s @RHYMEFEST. You’re over levergenging [sic] Kanye’s name & asked Kanye to donate money to u so stop w your fake community politics & lies. Truth is you haven’t been able to sustain the foundation,” Kardashian tweeted.

The mom-of-three went on to say: “You better believe I will make it my mission to take Donda’s House from you and let my children run it the way it should be run! @RHYMEFEST.”

She ended her tweet storm by taking a shot at Rhymefest’s accomplishments: “Sorry to all of my followers for flooding my timeline I know you have no idea who Rhymefest is.”

While Kardashian’s followers may not be familiar with Rhymefest, he has won two Grammy Awards, including one for co-writing Jesus Walks with Kanye and he won an Oscar with John Legend and Common for co-writing Glory.

Rhymefest fired back at Kardashian’s claims with a statement on Twitter.

“I spoke to your husband about peace, and balance, as well as about the work that we have been doing in Chicago regarding Donda’s house. He was more interested in his record,” he said.

“How can you criticize an organization that you’ve never physically been to OR that you’ve never even talked to the Executive Director or any of the team,” he continued. “And lastly, I actually knew and was mentored by Dr. Donda West personally, and have met with and spoke to hundreds of her students and mentees who not only support the work that we are doing in Chicago, but compel it.”

Donda’s House released a new statement on social media Saturday night, saying it was dropping its association with Kanye.

“Due to recent events that have occurred over the last 48 hours, we have decided to no longer use the name Donda’s House Inc.,” the statement said. “This has been an incredibly difficult decision but the social media quotes from Kim Kardashian West, as well as the expressed interest of her family running the organization, has brought us to this decision.”
